Aptly described as "a delectable excursion into the intricacies of wine and food", it's a ticket to a stimulating winelovers weekend.

Pair a laid back wine seminar with a two night visit to The Joshua Grindle Inn and you get a mini holiday that begins with a stirring trip through the spectacular Mendocino wine country, and a breathless drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to the romantically isolated seaside village of Mendocino where one can expect:

  • Overnight accomodations at the best B&B in the area including over the top breakfasts each morning (two nights in your choice of deluxe or standard rooms)

  • A fun and highly informative wine exploration with tastings of a broad cross section of carefully chosen wines led by the incomparably credentialed Linda Friedman and Mark Bowery,  and a  first rate team that includes Chef and Educator Dory Kwan of  Food for Thought and Little River Inn Sommellier Johnny Sverko.

            Mark Bowery

Winner of the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator Magazine for the last 15 years and a two-time grand champion who notched one of the all-time top scores ever in winning the 1996 pro singles.

Wine Day Camp's "senior counselor", Mark Bowery, has worked with many legendary wine and food personalities.  Mark, called "engaging and unpretentious" by Gourmet Magazine, has created nationally recognized wine lists for restaurants such as Masa's in San Francisco, Café Beaujolais and Albion River Inn on the Mendocino coast.  He is currently a wine and spirits consultant who travels the world leading wine tasting events for clients such as Visa, UBS, and Crystal Cruises. 


 

 

            Linda Friedman

Chef, impresario, local culinary icon and owner/operator of the perennialy popular Moosse Cafe for 23 years, Linda is the creator and executive director of Wine Day Camp.
